When I look at my wardrobe, it's hard to believe how much my style has changed. Growing up, I was never a frilly, pink-loving girly, that's for sure. Once upon a time I refused to wear dresses, my shoe collection consisted only of trainers, and the word 'tomboy' was used to describe my style more often than it should have.
I remember having a tantrum because I had to wear a pink dress and tennis shoes to my aunt and uncle's wedding in Normandy (obviously I thought it was hideous at the time, but it was actually very cute). I cringe when I think about my bad outfit choices, often consisting of tracksuit bottoms & chunky Adidas Classics, which funnily enough have now made a comeback. Maybe I was more fashion-forward than I thought, after all? (lol, maybe not). That's pretty much what you get for growing up with two big brothers though, right! I loved playing football and I'd spend my evenings playing Playstation games with them rather than doing typical girly things.
Thankfully, my style has improved over the years (I think, anyway!) and now I love nothing more than wearing pretty dresses and skirts and heels and anything else that screams, "Hellooooo, I'm a girl!" Perhaps i'm making up for all those years of dodgy boyish clothes.
This beautiful white lace playsuit from Lucy Paris made me feel ultra feminine, and it's definitely made me fall in love with lace all over again. I think this outfit would be perfect for summer date night, patio cocktails, or on holiday. I decided to keep things fairly simple and matched the outfit with my dusty pink Mulberry clutch & nude chunky sandals. I found these shades in Aldo the other week, and can you believe they were just $8?! In fact, I broke the pair I had at Pemberton Fest so I went and bought them again last weekend as I love them so much. Expect to see them in 95% of my Instagram posts in the coming weeks!
