I love photographs as you can capture a specific moment in time in one single snapshot. But there’s something special about capturing memories on film. You can roll it back and re-live the whole experience, however many times you wish. You can see things from a different view and appreciate those magical few seconds, when you’re drifting alongside a 10-metre long shark, from a perspective other than your own.
We snorkelled with Whale Sharks in Oslob, a sleepy town on Cebu Island in the Philippines, just over 3 months ago. I’ve tried over and over to put this experience to words, however I can never find the right words to do it justice. So, I made this video.
It still takes me back every time I watch this through, and only now, when our life here is so different to what it was for those few short months, do I truly value and treasure the moments like this.

I’m glad that you enjoyed not just your Cebu experience but the Oslob as well. We went to Oslob also last week and it was an awesome experience. I really enjoyed swimming with the whale sharks. I’m a bit afraid though because of its big mouth. I have a funny video of it on my blog as well. Haha.
