Buses run twice a day from Sihanoukville to Kep. You’ll have to catch the boat across from Koh Rong to Sihanoukville first (you can find details about this journey here) and then catch the bus from Sihanoukville town. Buses can be booked on Koh Rong at one of the tour operators.
Boat from Koh Rong to Sihanoukville
Price: $20 return for the fast boat from SHV to Koh Rong, $25 for an open return ticket.
Duration: 40 minutes
Times: 10 a.m., 1 p.m. & 4 p.m.
Bus from Sihanoukville to Kep
Price: $10 each
Duration: 2-3 hours.
Times: 8:30 a.m. & 1 p.m.
If you’re travelling from Koh Rong to Kep, take the 10am ferry and the 1pm bus. You may have a couple of hours to kill in Sihanoukville, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants where you can grab a bite and small market stalls to browse through.
