I’ve been feeling a little under the weather over the past few days so I felt a vitamin-rich, green immune boosting smoothie was in order. This is filled with so many nutrients and antioxidants – i’m talking vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, healthy fats, fibre and protein….all packed into one glass!
What I love about this recipe
It contains a lot of plant-based fibres which are easily digested and help to eliminate toxins from the body. This smoothie is exactly what I needed to help me feel energized and healthy when my body needed it most, and better still, it’s so quick and easy to make.
I was a little sceptical at first as this was my first green smoothie, so I threw in a few ingredients and hoped for the best. I must admit it doesn’t really look that appetizing, but it really was delicious. So don’t knock it till you’ve tried it! And if you’re not keen on all these ingredients, get a little creative and add in some substitutions. Let me know if you give it a go!
