If you’re looking for a refreshing blueberry smoothie recipe, look no further. Packed with frozen blueberries, chia seeds, banana and avocado, this delicious little mix is perfect as a breakfast treat or afternoon snack.
Blueberries are delicious and they’re full of antioxidants. If you didn’t already know, antioxidants neutralize free radicals in the body that are linked to the development of diseases, cancer and other conditions. They’re low in fat, loaded with fibre and have been proven to help improve brain health. In short, they literally are a super food.
And what about chia? Chia seeds are rich in nutrients and contain very few calories, are loaded with antioxidants, low in carbs AND contain a good serving of protein. Even if you’re not the biggest seed fan, you can’t even taste it especially when it’s all blended up.
So, combined with banana and avocado, this recipe is a nutrient & antioxidant powerhouse. Let me know if you give it a go or add any tasty additions, and make sure you check out my other smoothie recipes!
